This Band Of Misfit Musicians...

deves

Deves Matwawana

Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

Deves is a second generation Haligonian with a love of pop culture. Whether it’s film, television, comic books or music, Deves always has his finger on the pulse trying to figure out how art affects the people around him.
Growing up in the 90s and the early 2000s, Deves had always wanted to be in a boy band. Unfortunately, it was much easier to convice a bunch of dudes to be in a rock band than the Next Great Canadian Boy Band.

Evan Toth-Martinez

Percussion

With long legs that can travel across bridges with the greatest of ease, a figure that has him planted like an oak tree at any venue, and a sound from his drums akin to thunder outside your window, Evan has been a force for many years. Starting in the local metal music scene while he was still in high school, he branched out into other genres while also getting to work alongside many artists and bands; while in the process carving out a love of all music from indie folk, to hip hop and everything in between. Evan has been with casual cries ever since that fateful trash can jam years ago, and consistently has kept the pocket groovy and the band lively.

Colin Fenton

4 String Passive Electric Bass

Colin knew bass was the instrument for him when he his perfectionist little self skipping homework to practice bass, but would use homework as an excuse to skip violin lessons. Since age 12 he has sought to be as diverse a player as possible, performing in the pit band of many theatre productions as well as jazz bands, rock bands, folk music, and eventually finding a home in Casual Cries for Help. He tries to blend the playing of all his idols into his own unique voice, and picks his spots to step out of the background and add a little flair.
He currently owns 7 and a half bass guitars and a 10-pedal pedal board. This is enough.
